Today, I'm going to review two of the winning websites that received an IceCaves.net Web Award and show the best aspects of these sites that got it to become a final nominee and move on to the voting round. The two sites I'm going to review today are Daily Cute and Amour Chaleur.

Daily Cute


I'm going to do Daily Cute's review first since Gaby, the owner of the site, was able to win two Web Awards instead of one. She won the awards for Most Inspirational Webmaster and Best Blogger.

One cannot accurately review Daily Cute without considering Gaby's several other websites. Apart from Daily Cute, Gaby also co-owns Givoogle, GivesMeHope, and (released just recently) LoveGivesMeHope. The idea behind the blog Daily Cute is to have nearly daily updates each including a picture of something cute. Basically, the ideas behind all of Gaby's websites are of boosting the moods of her visitors and basically spreading warm fuzzy goodness all around. It's not surprising to learn that she is considered to be a very inspirational webmistress by so many.

And this inspiration isn't founded only on what her websites stand for. Her websites have been highly successful, notably GivesMeHope which has over 6,500 followers on Twitter and over 24,000 fans on Facebook and continues to grow rapidly. Givoogle has well over 10,000 Facebook fans throughout its various groups and pages, and Daily Cute receives from 500 to 800 unique visitors per day, which is better than IC at this point. ;)

All-in-all the IC Web Awards for Daily Cute are well deserved. Gaby has done a very well job in all of her websites. Be sure to check out at least one of them when you get the chance.

Amour Chaleur


Amour Chaleur is a blog by its owner, Dayna. The website won the IC Web Award for Most Creative Design/Layout, and it was well deserved. The design fits the blog really well. It praises creativity and originality in its design while including personal aspects of the webmistress.

Amour Chaleur is a personal blog, but it also offers various services to its visitors. The website just recently held a contest for well designed and well presented websites. The site also offers various tutorials, graphics, and more to its visitors. And they're pretty impressive. Be sure to check them out here.
